Toothache Causes School Children to Drop Out of Classes!
Milk teeth generally start to appear in every child from 6 months and are completed by the age of 3. During this period, the child has a total of 20 milk teeth. They usually fall out by the age of 12. Afterwards, the number of teeth of the child should be checked regularly and a doctor should be consulted if a deficiency is noticed.
The health of milk teeth is at least as important as permanent teeth. Because the health of milk teeth is the most important factor that prevents crookedness in permanent teeth. If children’s tooth development and dental care are not carefully monitored, decay will occur in the future. Although the child’s milk teeth will fall out and adult teeth will grow in their place, if they are decayed, they will cause severe pain as in adult teeth. Especially school-age children may perceive toothaches as headaches because they did not know the symptoms of toothache or what happened when their tooth ached. In fact, the tooth may have decayed and need to be intervened.
In today’s pandemic conditions, our children, who have already fallen behind in their education, may also fall behind in their lessons due to such pain, may not understand what they are listening to, or may not be able to participate in the lesson and lose motivation. This situation will cause children who are already isolated from the social community to become more introverted and deal with their aches and pains instead of focusing on lessons like their friends.
